Hello to everyone, especially to Arcade Boss.

I hope you understand my message, because it has only one meaning...to improve this site.

I think the best way to do it, it´s go back to the system of awading prizes to the top players for a single game of the month...or better....instead of that, try to put 2 challenges by month(every 15 days and you can distribute the prize money by both).

I tell you that because many people don´t have many time to play and when they see the board with the results of the top players of all the highscore games on the site...they give up because it´s impossible to reach them....

Impossible to reach them? You must be kidding me. Pimpin101 nearly beat out nitestalker and coolguy68 wasn't too far behind either of them. While I do agree that not many people have time to play for a contest such as this remember that nitestalker has 2 full-time jobs and still finds the time to keep his crown. Impossible??? Far from it!

Just for the record......I only had 12 wins last month. That's not a hard number to beat. Nitstalker had 60+ as did pimpin101. My hat goes off to those two! They are 2 of the best gamers on this site!

I understood 100%. There are, at any point in time, 8000-25000 people on this site. ALL of them have the opportunity to participate in the Game of the Month contest. They also have the opportunity to meet the requirements of the challenge. These are facts. Furthermore, out of these several thousand participants only a handful participate in the GOTM. This is our choice as it is the choice of others to not participate. If the winners of the previous month's challenge were disqualified from the next challenge nothing would change. The GOTM challenges are designed to increase your skills at the games. Not just play them and leave. Removing the competition doesn't increase your abilities.

The challenge you're referring to, by the way, was a first for AB. Nitestalker had been Boss of the Month for 11 months. This challenge was a way to reward the person who, if able to, dethroned him. It was a hard fought battle between 3 very good competitors and the Boss won.

I've been on this site since day one and have seen a lot amazing competition. The best competitors are here and in the last 6 months it's been getting really heated. I expect big things from these people in the coming months. The GOTM has become secondary to these people, it seems, as they try to keep the scores on games they truly enjoy. I'm one of them. The competition here is only going to get harder. My suggestion to you is get better at the games, pick a few you can hold the scores on and HANG ON! If you can't do this I'd suggest you get off the Game Freeway and take side roads to your destination. Some of us are fast and you might get run over. Wink

I personally like the boss of the month challange. It also makes people have to play more games and be involved with the site, as apposed to dropping in and winning at one game.

If time is a problem for people to try and win 60+ games a month, thats roughly 2 games a day, not too hard for people who play AB once a day. You could even win a few more in one day with a tough score to beat and have time to spare.

If winners didn't compete in the following challange, It would not be as challanging which to me is B.O.R.I.N.G. When I become Boss of the month I want to have earned it hahahaha Twisted Evil

!!

As for new people the tab is swiped clean each month giving equal opportunity to all. Again just my opinion I'm not argueing with or questioning anyone else.

Okay, I already explained my point of view and my post was to improve the site.... we could be here all day and probably we don´t reach an agreement ...

cimeira, don't worry it will probably be a game of the month most of the time. As CM said, the Boss Smackdown has only happened once so far. It was just a way of rewarding the members like are good at collecting the 1st place trophies and also I didn't have a good GOTM in mind. Wink

2 challenges a month have been suggested, and maybe one day, but for now we've just got the one monthly challenge.

But the Boss of Month remains as a (no-cash prize) option for players that appreciate the challenge.

Yah....I just wanna say..if your not good enough to hang with the best in boss of the month or the monthly challenge then you need to either play harder or step down....your saying people dont have time to get a lot of scores and win the nice cash prizes but in reality most people probably couldnt even if they had time....not bashing anyone at all but its not that hard to get trophys with real big highscores in a quick amount of time if your good...and also...IM NOT BRAGGING!!! but I came here my first month and got 2nd in Boss Of The Month while most of these games were extremely new to me....not saying I didnt spend some time on them but its definately not as bad as you made it sound lol... Wink

haha thanks man.....I am definately not use to someone showing me that I cant always be the best all around player in the arcade....ive been to many arcades around the web and I can assure you that you wont find many like nitestalker...I know it sounds kinda wierd but it has actually been a good learning experience for me.... Wink
