thats is crazy huge....i've always wanted to surf and lived on the coast most of my life but i never have
as a kid a few of us use to go on bikes from the san fernando valley to santa monica durning the summer and be beach bums for the weekend. those were the good ol days. leaving home on a thursday at around 5-6 am and be their by 2-3 pm. for those that didnt have/take money we would have to pan handle. boy how the time has changed and passed by since then. beach living is awesome.
i always loved just staying on the beach with my friends hanging out, the only difference from your story is that i lived in florence, oregon and it was a 15 minute bike ride, lmao
well the waves i have seen are not that big but i did have to rescue some one from 10 ft swells put off by a hurrican and when i paddle out one the resuce board and hit the top of the wave it was like i was flying
