|
|
I thought about this today and realised that in fact it wasn't until my early twenties that I truly got a solid answer to this question. So I thought I would post a couple of links here for all you younger folk!
In fact, if you have say 2 teaspoons of sugar in a cup of coffee/tea and have say 5 cups of tea/coffee in a day that is 10 teaspoons of sugar. I would say that any more than that (not to mention other sugary things) is gonna hurt sooner or later.
Sugar: Are you eating too much?

| There is no set limit of how much sugar you should take daily. It depends on your own body to maintain the sugar homeostasis. Somebody can take a lot and still be healthy and some gets diatbetes. Just have your blood test constantly and you'd be fine. |

Yes of course, that's why people have bad teeth from inadequate advice such as the links I posted above. _________________

| So in one can of mountain dew there is 46 grams of sugar. And I will tell you that I am a mountain dew freak. I could drink a 12 pack myself in a day. So that would be 552 grams of sugar just in the pop that I injest everyday. But that is why I proabbly have really bad teeth as well. |

Assuming a person drank that MD in a day you have to figure in the amount of sugar ingested via other items and the amount of starch that is also ingested. The body turns starch into sugar so the body can process it. No wonder there are so many type 2 diabetics in children and young people.
FYI:
I'm a diabetic and have been for at least 6 years we know of. Been on insulin and pills for that time. Sucks. _________________ Tips to win on games such as Super Mario World 2, Sonic, Mahjong and the Vector games |

| I may not be a diabetic, but I DO know that both my parents, and my grandparents (that is, on my mother's side) are. Hey, that might be a connection to the Lupo clan. |

| By the way, if you're a diabetic, I believe that any amount of sugar greater than or equal to 5 grams may be too much for you. |
