Hey guys, just been doing some research on insurance. Found some valuable information I thought you might like.
Basically you have to be very careful, well additionally careful these days due to all the augmented terms and clauses that are now flying around.
Now most insurance companies have what is called an "Act Of God" clause which basically means you cannot claim cover for:
Unpredictable natural disasters such as flooding, blizzards, hurricanes etc.
Now, this is very icy [no pun intended] because firstly it is a well known fact that you cannot claim for:
Predictable natural disasters such as flooding, blizzards, hurricanes etc.
So what that means is that if you live in an area known to be prone to such events, then you are living there at your own risk and cannot claim. If you are not living in an area prone to such events you cannot claim because it is considered an 'act of God' and of course, you cannot sue God.
And so it is advised to read your insurance policy very carefully as you may not be covered, well at all.
