With a new month just starting and the recent talk about removing the post count for thread games I thought this would help us all finally find out the popularity of this idea.

The post count should be removed from the thread games. Too many people abuse it just to get the post count for the prizes. If the post count can't be removed from the game threads then maybe they should be locked if prizes are going to be given away for post count.

Sorry ICBM but I did not....I don't think they should be locked regardless of if they receive post credit or not. Although I don't agree with getting credit for spamming it, I would rather have them being misused than not have them at all because often they can be quite comical.

BTW, what exactly constitutes a quiz, compared to just a question? Are threads like Which baseball team is going to win the World Series considered a quiz or just a question?

Definition of "quiz":

examine someone's knowledge of something EXAMPLE: "The teacher tests us every week"; "We got quizzed on French irregular verbs"

Definition of "question"

challenge the accuracy, probity, or propriety of EXAMPLE: "Which baseball team is going to win the World Series"

I voted no only because there isn't really any substance threads in the games section, they usually don't mean anything or have a purpose. I'd be in favor of saying "yes" if only some people started some fun, interesting games, instead of a 1-5 word answer post. I'd be in favor of keeping things like riddles and what-nots lol.

ArcadeBoss has now made appropriate modifications to the top posters and boss pages to exclude Thread Games from calculations of monthly posts. Thread Games posts will still count for profile credits, but not towards the cash prizes.
