It looks like Michael Jackson's This is it did well this past weekend even though the surprise horror hit Paranormal Activity was still present! Then again I'm surprised it was still able to hang onto second place in its SIXTH week!
The chart is here:

What do you think of This is it's success? What do you think of the Halloween box office results in general? |

I'm in two minds about this film - i thought jacko was awesome and a true legend but to me it seems like people leeching off his name again!

| I agree with neeraffa about the leechers. He was a very talented man, and I'm sure if he got to finish everything his concerts would of blown us all away yet again, even in his 50's he was still amazing. I'm probably going to go see it in the theaters, I wouldn't want to disgrace him by watching a 2nd rate choppy quality film online. |

What was crazy was that Sony said originally that "This Is It" was only going to be in theaters for two weeks! I didn't believe that for a second! Now that its been as successful as its been, they announced that they are going to "extend" its run. Big surprise.
THe movie that I'm most anxious to see is "Black Dynamite." Its supposed to be a very funny film in the style of Shaft, Superfly and other movies of the 70's. The reviews have been very good, so I have high hopes. They say that its funny, because it doesn't try to be; its got more subtle style. I'll let you know what I think... - S. |

| You know, the other day I was thinking about it, and this might sound out there, but what if Michael wanted us to "miss" him. With him going to be going on tour, not everyone was that excited. But with him passing, and us never getting to see what he was going to bring us, which I'm sure we all would of enjoyed, maybe he is being missed more then if he went through with the concert and died later on in his life. But that's just a crazy idea. |

fshk,
There's a thread about what people were dressing up for Halloween. You just made an off topic post for no reason. Credits removed for doing this. You know better. _________________ Since the Meek shall inherit the Earth then Canada is destined to rule the World! |

Well since someone opened a topic about a movie about Micheal, I thought this was the place to put it. Guess not. |
