the remake a prime example of another example of Hollywood s social engineering garbage.. Karate is Japanese and their for should been named something like The Kung Fu Kid.
Miyagi "Pat Morita" Japanese American - Remake Jackie Chan "Chinese"
the movie is filmed in China.
Maybe it's just a oversight by dumb Hollywood studio people. Maybe its just me overlooking it all. To me it's somewhat embarrassing.
To bad Daniel son wont be in this flick at the end and crane kick Will Smith's son in the face.

They made 4 of those movies. They should have left off with the 2nd. The 3rd didn't need to be done and the 4th ABSOLUTELY shouldn't have been done! Now a remake is being made.

| thats right...i forgot about the third one...when i said originals previously, i was talking about the first 2 as well...i wish hollywood knew when to stop with the sequels, so many good movies get lost in the shuffle because of awful sequels |

Its not only the sequels they need to stop with its everything. Universal pictures struck a deal with Hasbro a while back to make tons of their board games into movies. Just think board games such as monopoly, OUIJA, candy land and so on.
Right now their working on Battleship the board game.
With all the crap the US had created for the past 50+ years theirs no end in site.
Theirs still cartoons and toys like Barbi, smurfs and so on. Transformers and GI Joe they did already Transformers was done quit nicely. Have seen the Gi Joe one. All this madness has gotten on my nerves so I quite going to the movies. |

I suppose Monopoly could work if it was done in the style of "King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" and looking at the lives of people in pursuit of the Monopoly World Championship. But the rest?.......... 
As for the upcoming Karate Kid remake, I see it as just a dumb Hollywood attempt to make things look politically correct in a world that has become too engrossed on being politically correct, in this case having a diverse cast for the sake of diversity at the expense of historical accuracy that was pretty much summed up well in the opening post. |
