You really believe this? You really think the Mayans actually said,"Hey, the US economy is going to be going down the toilet in 2008/2009 so we should make up something fake about the world coming to an end so people will spend their money and the economy won't suffer"!
You really need to think before you post. Better yet....don't post in topics you can't talk intelligently about. I liked it better when you weren't on this site. The topics and replies were more intelligent.

Unfortunately with the bailouts being given to the banks, auto industry, etc that is exactly what will happen. Bush started it with his "economic stimulus package". Last I heard they were talking about starting a "bad bank" to deal with mortgages and bad loans. This way the government would handle them and the banks could go on as if life were normal.
What the US was founded on died a long time ago. Right now to save your country it's going to take guts and a will to make the really tough decisions.
