Anybody played this? What do you think? I've just got myself a PS2 and it is proving to be a great game.

I hear San Andreas is one of the best GTA games.. Tell me how it is, i might buy it too.

Well of course, it is always great fun to go around doing what you want, stealing supercars, racing through the city, trying to cause as much mayhem as you like without getting caught!
But the true genious of this game is the missions. If you actually play the game, earning bonuses and so forth, the list of things you end up doing is endless... such as buying clothes in a clothes shop, getting drive thru, chucking stolen crates off the back of a moving train into your mate's car etc, etc.. and the more missions you complete the more things you are then allowed to do in your own time... such as burgling houses in the middle of the night!
You get a garage too, so if you spot a decent car (and aquire it  ) you can store it in your garage for later use.
I haven't got far yet, but I've recently been awarded a getaway van, with lock up, so if I feel like it, I can pick any house and burgle it during the night.

| in my personal opinion. i loved GTA san andreas...world is so much more accesiable to just about everything..... this is definetly a game to pick up for the ps2 classics |

| I think GTA:San Andreas is a great game! You can do many things in the game even though it doesn't have multiplayer unlike GTA IV. |

It's a bit evil sometimes. I mean I just hate shooting a cop. It's like "Bang!" and you kinda feel a bit sick. But after a while the novelty wears off and its just a game.
Prefer Gran Turismo really or Prince Of Persia... but as an insight to gang life and for the thrill of a virtual "freezone" it's kinda cool.

| You feel guily shooting a cop? I feel nothing when shooting a cop...infact i do it for fun all the time...If you haven't yet, you might want to use some cheats...just one or two can make the game a bit easier and surprisingly mor fun. |

i love this game, i also love jumping or driving off of the tallest building in the game, and causing chaos......its soo much fun!!!

San Andraes is slightly better than GTA IV imo.
There's something about it...it's more Arcadey....I think that's what makes it superior for me. If you could pedal a bike off the side of a mountain and still survive in GTA IV, I'd be all for it. lol
Oh, and CJ would whup Niko any day;)

I don't think Gran Turismo or Prince of Persia would make good comparisons to Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Gran Turismo was a Playstation RACING game that was released back in 1997. Prince of Persia was originally an Apple II game that was released back in 1989.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was originally a Playstation 2 sandbox-style game released in 2004. It couldn't be more different from the previously mentioned two games. |

| gta.. i like the game, but personally it gets boring once you get everything, it's just all too repetitive. I prefer random online games lol. |
