May I ask those in contention for BOTM, how do you keep track of which (currently around 40-70) 1st Places you've HAD this month, but have now lost ?
I have only about 20, but if I wake up tomorrow and find it's down to 19 I won't have any idea WHICH ONE has been captured off me. 
(I started a thread here http://www.arcadeboss.com/arcade-thread1521.html a while ago, but seems noone cares ?) |

look at your second and third place scores, personally when i take scores i usually go from the 1st place down taking a score off of each one

yes i have had this problem but just look at youre secondplaces and it should be their unless it's in your third places ell god luck ...

| you can always just look at the actual game...the scores always show up there...i know it takes time to figure that out, but it is a good back up plan |

That seems a problem, Chic, especially in the crucial last few hours of the month.
My Profile figures are often at least 4 hours behind, and in fact last night the BOTM showed me as 25 Firsts, yet Profile stayed "stuck" on 19, so in fact there was NO way I could even find what those other 6 were. (Apart from laboriously going thru every one of 2000 games looking for my name!?!?!).
I reckon there has to be a better way. |

| Yeah, I know what you mean. During the month it works but you are absolutely right, the last few hours of the month is not so efficient. I wonder if there is a way to update this more frequently. I found myself clicking on each game to see what the score was but that took way too long. There must be an easy way. |

The reason that it takes so long to update is because of the time delay for the cache. This was drastically reduced as the site was running slow. With so many scores being submitted at any given time the site lagged. I know AB was replacing a server for a FFH he runs, but I'm not sure if the one that AB runs on is dedicated solely to it. If so, maybe he could fix it up so the scores update more often.

taz775, PLEASE - post only if you have something relevant to say.
You obviously glance at the title of a thread like this, and your eyes light up as you realise you 'can' post something that may vaguely be relevant.
But if you actually READ the thread, you'd find it's asking for your OPINION regarding losing first places, not just IF you HAVE lost any. The subject also moves on to how often profile scores are updated, and how people feel about that. You haven't touched on either of these.
I get so tired of churning thru threads here with "nothing" posts like yours that often I don't even bother using the forum.

If u must know, Gary . . . I can't even get my truck across the bridge, let alone to the top or where ever you said.

Hey! I just updated that thread with a post introducing my video walkthrough to that error! It's even HD-capable if you have trouble viewing it in standard definition.
If you follow EXACTLY what I did in that video; I promise you will be able to reach just as far as I did or even farther into the game. That also depends on whether you run into the error I did! Please do comment on whether you run into that error here or in that thread. |
