Well, I guess some ARE 'content', but never me!
I just got to thinking, most of the home page is relatively static - the only really dynamic section is Being Played Now - while many other sections, e.g. Shout Box, will change from visit to visit.
I wonder about something like (or even in place of?) Being Played Now - but showing the last game where someone scored a BOTM top place.
I'd guess it would change maybe what, every hour or so?? (lol, maybe oftener near month end).
And if it showed who and when as well then it would be interesting not only for newbies but also for us regulars.
(The only reason I ever use the home page is (A) check for new games, (B) check latest Shouts, and sometimes (C) check latest forum topics.)

Wow, what a hornets' nest that created since posting 3 months back! Amazing public interest, obviously.

Perhaps even better might be the last game where someone scored an ALLTIME high. This would not change nearly as often, but hey, alltime highs ARE hard to come by, and therefore deserving of recognition. |

further thought . . .
(thought took 1 minute, FINDing this thread took 30!!)
If say the last 5 BOTM HiScores were shown, this could INCLUDE AllTime HiScores, perhaps indicated by an asterisk.
Then hey, since the framework is there, would it hurt to include also any HiScores in Tournaments - perhaps marked with a T, but it would have to be clear that these are NOT (necessarily) BOTMs as well. |
