It's now official in case you missed it; you can pre-order Windows 7 NOW! Someone even mentioned that you can make some money by pre-ordering an EXTRA copy and then when it arrives you can auction it off on eBay or Craigslist for TWICE what you originally paid!
It seems the deal expires in a couple of hours though; here is the article:

I'm not. I'm sticking with Vista. This is the first legit version of Windows I've had in over 10 years. I'm not buying a newer version.

| Sticking with XP on this box for as long as I can. Then its ubuntu installed. No need to pay for anything all free and it comes with what I need. |

I have not pre-ordered Windows 7 yet, but I will somehow obtain it. I cannot afford it now, but I will try to get a laptop with said operating system for my birthday, if possible.

XP was nice. I've been running Vista and I like it too. The only reason we upgraded was our XP machine packed it in. I was OK with that as I had been running a pirated version of XP for nearly 5 years and it was becoming a P in the A for updates and some MS products weren't updating either. I am not interested in updating to W7 anytime soon. Too expensive and for what we use our laptops for it's just not worth the new OS.

my lp still hasnt packed it in thats why im still usin xp but im honestly afraid everyday that my lp is gonna stop working its like 4 or 5 years old but it still works great |
