Smack me. Still not working, ah? I apologize for the delay in getting this resolved. We will get to the bottom of this, or I will go insane, but should be enjoyable either way.

I've straightened a few things out in this code so that it will be simpler to debug. I've also added a log so that I should be able to go back and get more ideas about what could be going wrong with the missing PM.

Please humor me a bit more, and next time you have this problem, make a note here of the game, the date and time, and the player you bumped off 1st place.

(Also, in the meantime if you happen to see that the 'Highscore Lost' PMs *are* working (at least in some cases) please post that too. I've restructured the code and would like to know that we are at least where we were before, and that I haven't broken it completely.)

As that link shows, I took the monthly title for Virble about 3 hours ago - but then - ONE hour ago Mel2Win took it back.

But I've had NO auto PMs for Lost 1st place for 2 or 3 weeks now - just that this is the first time I've actually NOTICEd I SHOULD have had one.

I recently lost a 1st place to mel 2 win and didn't recieve a PM. If someone takes a 1ST place off somebody else and then goes to their own outbox and deletes the message so the other player is'nt notified could this be the case? Confused

neeraffa, there are two copies of the message so that your copy can be deleted at any time without affecting the other. Please also let me know the name of the game so I can look it up if it happens again after this point. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm thinking that emails for this type of notice could result in a bit too many emails flying around. There are possibilities like a daily roundup email, but I figure the players that care the most about these messages will likely be at the site competing, and can just check the PMs, as you said.

Yup, I gave this thread a month off, but now . . . .
. . . Neeraffa and I set out today to test Auto PM's from Pariboro - and - so far (on my side anyway) it's clearly FAILED!!

Here are the actual monthly 1st-place holders, with times (in MY Time Zone, GMT+12) they got their top scores:

EK - 48 - 2009-10-02 07:45
Nee - 49 - 2009-10-02 07:57

Barb - 114 - 2009-10-02 16:35

Now ignore the "*" two, as they simply didn't Submit (aha! - a separate ... or even related? - problem!).

But clearly Nee took title off me at 07:57 - almost 12 hours ago now, and Barbara again took my title about 3 hours ago, and I STILL have seen no Auto-PM (despite having one today from Lonny about a different game).

Nee - did YOU get an Auto-PM, based on my 56 at 20:11 Thursday (YOUR time) ???

Found and corrected issue with PMs on mochi games.

By the way, an hour ago I received this Auto-PM, which doesn't state the game - and I now see sax has NO monthly firsts, so unable to even guess which game.
