I think since 99% of members can't easily locate the new member thread or "who are you?" thread, an introductions forum would be a good idea. I'll post this in moderators board too.

I don't think it's a case of not seeing it.
Introductions forums are just as often placed near the bottom as they are near the top.
I share your observations, but I think it is just a mere coincidence that it's not been used since it was built.
If we later find people introducing themselves in other forums, then might consider moving it up the list.
