I used to have two favorite teams that I'd try to keep close eyes on: the Redskins for the NFC and the Ravens for the AFC, they just happened to be the two hometown teams where I grew up. But the Redskins with Dan Snyder as owner and no Coach Gibbs to keep him in check is just a sinking ship, and in recent years the Ravens have choked in the playoffs (with or without the help of the refs royally screwing them over). Then last season came a bunch of referee epic fails on rulings on plays, and that's when I more or less decided to give up on football.
Never had much interest in college football, the one year I paid any attention was when Ralph Fridgen took a perenially losing Maryland team and somehow put the Terps into the BCS his first season. |

Favre should have retired years ago, it will be quite commical when he goes to Green Bay and gets his brains beat in and now after the cheap shot to the Texans' player knee, they will be after him as well....all of this if he can actually last that long |

Wow, a lot of NFL fans. To be honest, I've never really been a fan of NFL. Why? In the NFL, the players usually just play for the money. Also, the big stars are usually the only ones that are on the field. Some of the best players in college football today may not make it very far in the pros. For example, Danny Wuerffel was one of the best quarterbacks in college football in the mid-90s. In the pros, he barely got anywhere and Peyton Manning (who Wuerffel always beat) is now a huge star.
