Just 5 days to go now, and again Neeraffa's looking untroubled. Though I hope this won't be like last month, where he finished on 134 and the next best was - ulp - 63!
I reckon NiteStalker's the best chance to challenge him, but he may have started his run a bit late this month.
As usual there seems to be a split developing - quite a bunch on 40 and above, then the second tier of those like me all around 20.
Nice to see Immortalist in here again, and Starman, both ex-champions I think. Also good to see SoulTaker, Taz, Julie, Slayer, and Zeus (who finished on 19 last month) all just "bubbling under".
My own limit seems around 30 games, but I'm not sure where those r gonna come from this month.
But mainly, who will stop Neeraffa's dynasty ??? |

I think only starman and nitestalker (two amazing players) could compete with/against him, I don´t see other player on the horizon that is capable of doing something like that, neeraffa is an awesome player  and even more important a great person  |

I just might try as hard as I can next month to get high on the Boss of the Month list but I know I won't have more high scores than neeraffa. I can't win money but I am guessing that I can still be crowned Boss of the Month if I happened to do it?

Just over 4 days to go now, and despite Neeraffa's minor(?) slide I think he's got it in the bag again this month - but October may be a different story, with Starman and NiteStalker in the fray again perhaps - and I reckon Twi$ter could give him a run for his money, but he's more focused on Tournaments.
Big movers over the last 24 hours (aprox):

Nitestalker got that many scores because he had 4 or 5 days off from work so i wouldn't count on him being a major factor next month but who know's. I will try my best next month as long as i can find enough time to play. I will try my best but I know for a fact that I cannot beat neeraffa.

but what u must realize, all that was from 5 or 6 days when i got on... if i get on and have time to play (AND STAY AWAY FROM POKERSTARS) then it will be closer

A few minutes under THREE days to go now, and not much movement now.
Biggest movers over last 24 hours:

(lol - guess they didn't like being in RED section yesterday !?)

Nice to see SoulTaker clutching tenuously to bottom of money list - hang in there buddy, the last few hours are the worst! ROTFL.
I'd be interested in just how some of you approach a competition like BOTM.
For me I have about 100 Faves, not necessarily my "favourite" games, but those games I think/hope I have a fair chance in. This list fluctuates a bit as I find new games, or (more often) find I was too optimistic with older ones, and figure they really ARE Too Hard for me.
I really never look at anything NOT in my Faves - unless completely bored!
At start of month I just mess about with some of these Faves, learning more and/or enhancing my technique - then from about 10 days out I start trying to convert them all - well, as many as I can - into "Eagle_Kiwi".
But a select few I hold back till the last day or two, as it's frustrating putting in a good score then someone else topping it right at the end.
So - how do YOU work it ? |

When i start the month i usually pick a few games that are 'quick' scores and build on them as the month goes on.
I also try to make sure my scores are good enough to stick because if you fighting to keep certain scores you cant get others.

when i was competing for the first few days grab the games i know i can keep and then not even go to the arcade just let the rest of the botm list decide what im going to play by taking their scores. i would just start from the top and take a score from each

I just thought of the idea that Eagle_Kiwi has about 2 days ago! I was gonna go around finding the games that I am good at and "favorite" them and try to have the highest score on all or most of them. Then go around trying to find other games that I am good at later in the month. It is a good idea.

About TWO days and 4 hours to go (I'm posting early as I'm going out for the evening). So actually just 20 hours for Immortalist to leap from 21 up to 41, coincidentally level now with Nitestalker.

Surprise surprise, I'm finding TIME a slight problem at this point. Some games I could probably win but it might take a 4 or 5 hour session - others may take only 30min, but I may need a dozen tries, so it's a case of budgeting and using remaining time to best advantage.
AND wishing I'd done a bit more "homework" earlier on. LOL |
