Welcome back to Episode 5 of the "Neeraffa vs. All Comers" show 
Mainly the same old faces, and mainly in the same old places, roughly. Though Mel2Win is obviously trying hard this month, well above her best ever 61 right now, and nice to see NiteStalker back seriously(?) ready to take on the current champ.
Welcome to WarDuke, who was in the money till yesterday. Hope you can hang in and find some more trophies in the next 11 days, mate. 
Also just bubbling under at this early stage: Julie, (sorry about the Cricket, J.  ), TheStorm, SoulTaker (watch out for HIM when he gets into gear!), and Bruno.
Personally I've managed 6 months in a row just squeezing into the Top 10, and just hoping as usual to crack 30 by month end. Interesting how most of us seem to have found our own levels - Joker and KTWorld around 60-ish, Twi$ter 40-60, Bafusa 45-50, Eagle 25-30, Lonny, Bedem, and Ryu 20-25, Taz, Skeesh and Miss Priss 10-15.
But Aussie is like Mel2Win, not content with any level, so far improving month by month.

Good update eagle!
Last month with about an hour to go before the end of BOTM september, i got 3 'easy' wins just by having a scan around the games catagories and spotting scores i think i could beat - it didnt leave long for the people i took them off to realise they had lost them (if they found out at all!)
These wouldn't be scores you could normally rely on but if you need a little boost at the end of the month it works like a dream 
Mel2win has put up a good fight so far this month but can she hang on to 2nd place or will the pack following reel her in......

sorry, too much going on to be considered for BOTM, i have now put job resumes on the state sites for 14 states and adding more daily. hoping to find something soon

Yes, it's nice to be able to be around over those last hours, to defend against such things, and maybe to sneak a couple.
I actually have figures I never published for the last 2.5 hours of September - I guess they show who was fighting right to the end and who wasn't:

Well you're sure making a mark this month Julie - now only 2 games (er, plus a Paypal A/C) off the money!
But you'll need to keep your foot on the gas - it's usually somewhere between 15-25 that sneaks into last place.

So it seems Soultaker is already using the 'last couple of hours' trick and seems very wise to how things work in tourneys + BOTM even tho he's been on the site less than 2 months!
I took 2 scores at the end of that month so somebody must have took 1 from me too!

True indeed!
Examples are newcomer WarDuke, looking promising at 20 a week ago, now frittered away down to 13.  And pcg111 was on 16, but now down to 7. (That 16 must have been an illusion. )
One can see here those who make scores that will STICK, and others just grab "easy" scores mid-month only to see them whittled away as the 'heavies' take over!
Big movers over last 40 hours:
+15! Aussie (rockets up to 48, alongside KTWorld who did the same yesterday)
+ 4 SoulTaker
+ 3 Bruno
-3 Bedem
-5 Mel2Win (you're slipping, Mel. Keep grip on that 2nd place!)

Has neeraffa got 13 straight BOTM titles yet? I would say re-naming this site to that is a bit premature; I would like to see neeraffa beat nitestalker's old consecutive BOTM record before this gets re-named!  |

But I wasn't here during NS's legendary dynasty - even after 5 in a row now I wonder - WHY isn't there anyone able/willing to stop 'im ?
Hey, don't look at ME - I'll never be in that league!
NiteStalker, Starman, etc probably could, but they're all semi-retired (hey, maybe I should add the name GaryOak in there too!?).
Perhaps we must await the "young guns", likes of KT and Aussie, maybe even SoulT and Bruno ?
I just don't like to see anyone SO far out in front, seemingly in a separate league, for so long (Well, Husain Bolt excepted, maybe ).
It just aint right!  |

Yep, sounds about right to me. I've always wondered when KT, Aussie, SoulT and Bruno will actually step up their game.
I bet neeraffa thinks are just about right at this moment in time! |
