|
|
According to estimates Alice in Wonderland will earn $62 million in its second weekend repeating as the #1 top-grossing movie at the box office.
It managed to do this in spite of the fact there were no less than FOUR new movies being released on Friday!
In contrast the failure of the new movies (Green Zone and Remember Me) based around famous actors like Matt Damon and Robert Pattinson respectively show that once they leave their famous franchises (Bourne and Twilight) they truly are hopeless against highly-anticipated blockbusters like Alice in Wonderland!
The other two new movies (She's out of my League and Our Family Wedding) met their expectations but considering how modest those were; that certainly isn't saying much!
The chart of box office estimates are located as usual at:
http://boxoffice.com/numbers/
So, what did you think of this weekend's box office numbers? What did you think of any of the new movies? What do you think it says about the actors of the new movies or what it says about Alice in Wonderland? |

When did I say Damon was a bad actor?
I'm just pointing out that even movies with famous actors like Damon and Pattinson don't stand a chance against the considerable might of a blockbuster with a dynamic duo like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. |

Perhaps I meant to say SERIES rather than franchise. The only film series out of those listed there would be the Ocean's movies. I had to pick one of Matt Damon's franchises so I picked the one where he is the MAIN character. |
