Wow! I just watched the NHL 11 trailer and I got blown away by it! It looks awesome and it certainly builds the hype for the game and its new features! It's only TWO days away from release!
There certainly seem to be quite a few new features included in this year's game too:
We have broken sticks and we can now control the player without the stick! (I don't know about you but I'm excited about this new feature since we've seen for years how the pros can handle playing without the stick for short periods of time!)
A new physics engine guaranteeing unique bodychecks each and every time!
A new faceoff system.
Passing at the RELEASE of the trigger button meaning the longer you hold the button down; the faster your pass will be on release of the button!
Hit stick! Now you can control WHERE you hit your man affecting penalties and how he may be injured!
Hockey Ultimate Team mode where you can earn EA Pucks with each game played in this mode.
Hustle button which you can use to beat other players for the puck, beat out the icing call or to attain a breakaway.
Restricted and unrestricted free agents in the appropriate modes.
Ability to control your goal celebrations
Playoff beards
Even the ability to jump over prone players!

Yeah u really should try it out. Its a lot better to vs real people than vs the same computer that plays the same way every time. Eventually u can figure out glitches and ways to be the computer. If you vs a new person every time, its a new challenge every time.
thats true...the computer does get pretty boring after awhile...i think im gonna have to try it....i would like to be able to say im q ranked player in nhl, that'd be cool
