| how old do you think a child should be before he/she plays games on the computer without a parent's help? All opinions are welcome. |

| if they are playing a pc game then like 6 plus. but on the internet id have to go with 9 or 10 plus. i was first allowed to use the internet to do wht ever i wanted when i was like 10 or 11 |

Under 18 computer should be out in the living were the child can be monitored. That pc should have something like Kid Zui a child safe browser add on for Firefox installed on it they have it for IE as well, parents can lock out a child (or anyone else for that matter) out of accessing non Kidzui approved sites. So any age is a good age to me.

When we have kids they can go on the computer as much as they want. They can use the Internet when they can afford to buy their own computer though! LMAO!
...and they're 20 years old too for that matter.

I say as long as the internet is highly monitored and filtered from bad things let the children play. My dad let me play the NES when I was two and it was awesome and got me hooked on games don't hinder the experience for them just protect the kids. So as old as it takes them to actually be able to play  |

Kids should go outside and play. A computer will not be a great way for a preteen to acclimate to society and people.
Plus, have you seen Hackers? He might just crash 1,507 systems in one day and singularly cause a 7 point drop in the Dow!  God knows we don't need it any lower. |
