'Brüno' Headed for Top Spot at the weekend box office!

It should come as no surprise to Sacha Baron Cohen fans that his new "mocumentary" Brüno is going to easily top the box office this weekend! It is projected to earn $37 million compared with Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs' $27.8 million. Final estimates for this weekend's box office should arrive 24 hours from now.

Update: Brüno grossed over thirty million dollars in its opening weekend to lead all movies at the box office.

$30 million isn't that much money for a weekend opener. I know it wasn't a great weekend movie-wise, but still... Maybe people are looking for movies with substance????

That is an intriguing possibility. That hasn't applied to the last three weekends given that the last three movies that topped the box office all lacked substance.

A movie that has substance is scheduled to be released quite soon though...
