i know there are some people on here that have mentiones Nitro Circus among other things about Travis Pastrana....now Pastrana will try his hand in Nascar
Pastrana, a 16-time X Games gold medalist who is also on MTV's 'Nitro Circus', will partner with Michael Waltrip to run Pastrana-Waltrip Racing. According to a release, Pastrana, 27, will run seven Nationwide races in 2011 and 20 in 2012.
i think its a great idea for Pastrana...he excels at just about everything he does, so im pretty sure we will probably see him do pretty well at this too
This is exciting news and it doesn't really surprise me. Travis can drive and race anything with wheels. This might even boost the ratings for the Nationwide races that he is in. I never watch the Nationwide series but I will make sure to watch the ones that he races in. Thanks for posting this because I probally wouldn't have found out about it. Dislocated Spinal Column
Travis is only one of a few people in the world to suffer a dislocated spinal column. During practice for a Freestyle competition at Lake Havasu, 1999, Travis was coming up to a 120ft jump and he “chopped” the throttle or let off the gas for a split moment and landed short. Travis went from 60 miles per hour to the opposite direction in less than half a second.
Travis hadn’t broken his back, he had moved the spinal column from the pelvic bone. Because of this crash Travis had also bleed half his blood volume (roughly 2.5 liters on average) into his stomach. Since the rate at which he bled into his stomach was slow, Travis was able to survive the injury, any quicker and Travis wouldn’t have made it. At the time doctors were unsure of what had happened.
