Texas Chainsaw 3D cut away the competition at the box office this weekend with an estimated $23 million! The seventh film in the series exceeded expectations despite being limited to opening in only 2654 locations!
The latest chapter in the franchise continues the tradition of horror movies doing well in the month of January. Texas Chainsaw 3D did better than Hostel in 2006 but worse than last year's The Devil Inside.
It was the only new movie in wide release this week.
