SUPER MARIO SKYWORLD
During a sunny Summer picnic, Mario and Luigi remembered fondly the good old days, soaring through the skies of Donut Plains. Reminiscing turned to daydreams, and the brothers soon drifted off to sleep. Deep in slumber, they shared a fantastic dream, flying peacefully above the clouds. But this dream turned dire, as suddenly the sky filled with Bullet Bills, Bonzai Bills, Bob-ombs, Bowser and more. Save the pair from this nightmare by gliding safely through the dangers as far as possible.
WALKTHROUGH/TIPS
Before starting game you may select to play as Mario or as Luigi by clicking the character selector.
Gameplay begins with your selected character wearing their cape, gliding through the sky. To glide up, click the mouse button. The longer you hold the mouse button down, the farther Mario or Luigi will glide up. When their momentum drops, they will begin to glide back down. By controlling the spacing between mouse clicks and the length of your mouse click you are able to maneuver over, under and through the enemies that are trying to stop you. Also avoid going too high or too low as well.
The Moon powerup provides your character with a big speed boost, and added upward gliding distance, but be careful you will still need to avoid enemies. The 1up powerup restores a bit of your heath. Grabbing a powerup also provides a short moment of protection.
When you get hurt, a bit longer period of protection provides a little bit of time to get to a safer position. But lose all your health and the game is over.
Scoring is primarily based on the distance traveled, however collecting coins and powerups will also add to your score. |
