For those of you unfamiliar with BBCode, this document will teach you how to use it.
BBCode, which stands for 'Bulletin Board Code' is a special implementation of HTML and which enables you to add formatting techniques to your forum posts.
Such techniques include underline, bold, italics, font size, font color, alignment and images.
BBCode uses a system of 'tags'. Each command has a start tag and and end tag. So for example, in order to make something bold, you would put the bold start tag at the beginning and the bold end tag at the end of what you want to appear in bold. As follows:

You will notice the difference between the start and end tags. The 'b' of course stands for 'bold', but more importantly the forward slash in the second tag indicates it is the end or closing tag.

The easiest way to use BBCode tags, instead of typing them out, is to first highlight with your mouse whatever you want to add effect to and then click the corresponding button to apply that effect. Doing this will cause the system to automatically place start and end tags at the beginning and end of the selected text.

To display a YouTube video use the following code:

NOTE: You must use the actual URL and not the 'youtu.be' one. Also make sure the URL is http not https, by removing the s.
To align an image to the right with 'text flow' use the following code:

To align an image to the left with 'text flow' use the following code:
| Info: | | [imgleft]Insert URL of image here[/imgleft] |
To align an image to the center use the following code:
| Info: | | [imgcenter]Insert URL of image here[/imgcenter] |
To align text to the right use the following code:
| Info: | | [right]Insert text to be aligned here[/right] |
To align text to the left use the following code:
| Info: | | [left]Insert text to be aligned here[/left] |
To strike out text use the following code:

To highlight text use the following code:

To make text scroll use the following code:
| Info: | | [scroll]Insert scrolling text here[/scroll] |

I should add that if you wish to colour your text, then you can use hexadecimal values too and do not just have to stick to the drop down selection of colours provided.
http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm
http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors.html
So for example...

... would generate...
Text goes here.
You can also combine of course, for example make coloured text scroll across screen. Just use the same code for the coloured text but adding scroll tags either side, as follows...

.. would generate...

Thought I would ask, as it has happened a few times now ...
Sometimes I like to use Bold, but regardless of using any color fonts it always comes out yellow ...
Bold
Is there any way to get around this or not.
Will give a quick example, say I want to say ArcadeBoss, but in bold and in red ...
I highlight and click red, I highlight again and hit bold ...

I know I could use the colour and change font size, like ...

I think it is a deliberate part of the AB style, since this template does not usually work that way and so must have been deliberately programmed to do it.
It is an interesting effect though...

| I added the color change to bolding, as it provided a nice contrast and helped to emphasize the bolded text even when posters are not customizing their font with tags. |
