Capital Punishment would certainly drop the population numbers.....and the stupidity quotient overall.

actually i believe it was a remake of a hong kong movie series called internal affairs, they combined parts of the triology into 1 movie or something like that, but the departed is fantastic |

Wouldn't contraception be cheaper than capital punishment if lowering the population was the primary concern? |

Sure it would, but with thousands on death row right now eating up tax dollars better spent on the living and producing part of society who needs contraception?

I agree with your first two choices. While I enjoyed The Day After Tomorrow I don't think it was epic enough to be considered for movie of the decade status.
