Never seen this error before.
Dose disappear after the page loads.
I'm not able to upload a gif that fits the requirements.
I even tried a small .jpeg for my avatar with no luck comes up broken...
any ideal on what could be going on?

Yeah I had a similar error when trying to upload smilies the other day. I've forwarded this to the boss as well.

im pretty sure it might be something simple like a chmod set wrong. servers can act up some times.

i will go without a avatar for a while...
