Well, I think Lonny broke the news earlier but here it is again in case you missed it:
Quote:
Michael Jackson died after suffering a cardiac arrest, officials confirmed, sending shockwaves around the entertainment world as stunned stars and fans mourned the loss of the tortured music icon known as the "King of Pop."
Michael Jackson was truly the "King of Pop". No one could ever reach the status he attained all around the world. He touched so many lives and I was one of his longtime fans that was looking forward to his comeback tour. I just hope that the media can keep the aftermath stories to a minimum and allow the family to grieve in peace.
The first record I had owned was Michael's "Thriller" album. I played it so much that I warped the record. Even with the legal stuff that had happened (which I still believe was a crock), I was still a huge fan. His music always had a powerful message and he was always an ambassador of peace and love throughout the world.
As a boy growing up he was it from as early as 78-79 listing to him on the radio he was always on. Then the 80's hit everyone just had to mimic the moon walk even me, was never good at it. It seemed after the pepsi accident he was not the same his hole life changed after that. Love him or hate him we all were glued to our T.Vs no matter what he was doing. In some sense I feel I lost a friend even though I never met the person. I can honestly say R.I.P MJ. You will be truely missed. BTW I actually bought bad thriller an off the wall on cassette, not in that order but I did own them as a kid. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT! Great Canada - US Host...

I used to listen to his songs in the 80 - thriller, bad etc and its quite a shock that he's died so young. I think the pop world has lost one of its all time legends! RIP MJ

Not cool man...respect the dead...
I agree with nitestalker. While his music was great you cant forget about what he did to those children. He is a creep and should have been in jail. I do not feel sorry for him at all.

I agree completely with you and nitestalker. There was something very odd and disturbing about his Neverland home and his personal habits involving kids. I wouldn't be surprised if all the rumours about him and boys were indeed true!
Now that I have that out of the way; I must acknowledge that he was definitely a legendary dancer and singer.
Sadly however this thread has deteriorated to the likes of "prove the existence of God" threads, an argument that cannot be proved online, but only within one's self.
