Does it really matter to you??

Does the race of your doctor, nurse, food server, hospitality worker or anyone else that is serving you, does it matter to you what RACE they are?

I was thinking of this a lot lately because i over heard some people talking about how they didn't like how the surgeon wasn't a man. They did not like the fact that she was a woman. Me personally, I dont care one way or another. But the whole sex issue got me thinking, does anyone care what RACE they are?

What are your thoughts on the situation?? I am not trying to start a sexist or racist riot in here, i am just simply asking does it bother you that the person helping you, no matter what they are helping you with, does it matter to you that they are an ethnicity other than your own??

I don't see race in any doctor I see.
Race and ethnicity should not be a part of choosing any physician.

Just as long as I can get in and get out as well as keep the bill to a minimum.

Saving is more important to me then race PLUS a good bill of health...

Race isn't really an issue for me but when it comes to doctors or nurses, I prefer a woman. I just feel a little more comfortable that way.

Absolutely not. There may be occasions when a male doctor might be more 'in tune' with a specific male problem and vice versa for a female doctor but at the end of the day the race of the doctor/health care provider should not matter. It should be as simple as this...

I have a problem. Who is the best (most qualified) PERSON to handle my problem. I get treated by this person and get better. Case closed.

Funny thing is on this topic.

I asked a similar question a while ago to family members and to them race was a issue.

Take it these family members, one of my aunts, one uncle, steep dad mom was so so on the matter all seemed to care on race issues.

Was different times back before the 70's and beyond.

It will take some time to evolve from the race issue , we will in time

It doesn't matter to me, they are obviously qualified for the job so i trust them.

I always acknowledge their ethnicity in my mind, but it doesn't bother me that they have a different background than I do.

Everyone does, after all, have a different background than I do.
