|
|
A Starbucks barista attempted to woo a 19-year-old customer with a message on her coffee cup only for his efforts to be branded 'creepy' by her unimpressed mother.
The amorous coffee company employee had scribbled out part of a warning message on the cup he gave to Laura Roberts, leaving behind the text: ‘Careful you’re extremely hot.'
But his flirtatious message did not win over Miss Roberts's mother, Alex Blaine, who jokingly shared a picture of the cup online with the caption: 'Creepy barista writing inappropriate messages on my daughter’s coffee cup. Looks like son-in-law material.

Any girl who gets that sort of introduction message is put in a Catch-22 situation:
a) If she reacts favourably, will she be regarded as 'easy'?
b) If she reacts unfavourably, will she be regarded as frigid?
It must be difficult in those situations. Her mother gets a big thumbs-up for calling him a creep. |

I don't know if her daughter will give her mother that thumbs up though:
Quote: | Miss Roberts is a regular at the Starbucks branch near her north London home, but is keeping quiet on the exact location so as not to embarrass the member of staff.
'It's my local Starbucks and he's lovely,' she told MailOnline. 'He always does it. |

Have to agree with msidoh about the mother calling him a creep.
Using your job to try to pick up women can't be good for customers. Some might find it okay but what's wrong with starting a proper conversation with someone? |

To go slightly off topic:
When I travel on the train or bus, and even when I'm walking down the street, very often I am the only person who doesn't have their face buried in their phone. It's darned near impossible to strike up a conversation with anyone these days.
And to bring it back on topic again...

He always does it? I guess she's never bothered to mention to him she's already engaged, then.
Um.. yeah.. I'm overthinking this now. I'll just go and play some AB games. |
