Believe it or not it's your choice. I lived it. Second, I will be mentioning, by his spoken name, a very dangerous Demon. If you Google the name that is YOUR choice. If you find his true name DO NOT speak it aloud. Once again this is YOUR choice. I'd prefer it if you left well enough alone. Anyway....
My first job upon moving to the city where I currently reside was working late night at Burger King as the janitor. I loved that job. The shift was 11pm to 7am and the late night staff worked until 5am. My roommate, who I spoke of above, also worked there. We had made good friends with the other kitchen person and the supervisor was OK. Blake, Kurt and myself all attended church every week and were very strong in our faith. At the time I was wearing a cross made out of a nail. Remember this.
We had trouble keeping late night staff. They all said we were too weird to work with. You have to be a little "off" to work late nights/graveyard shift. The store manager came in for a shift with us to see how we interacted with one another so she could look for a person with similar character traits. She had hoped this would help her find a suitable match for the rest of us. About 3 days later Cory came to work with us. He seemed like a genuinely likable guy. He was clean, well spoken and shared a love of most music like the rest of us. Two weeks went by. During his third week he revealed he was into Wicca. He was actively looking for certain "crystals" that would allow him to do "things". He was into casting spells and other stuff. It's at this point things started going downhill.
Upon revealing this I spoke with Blake and Kurt. Cory had never mentioned anything to them. 2 nights later as I was driving up to the building I could see the property literally covered by a black cloud. Walking into the building was like entering living Evil. The feeling was palpable. I never prayed so hard for my life. This carried on for 2 weeks. I'd pray the whole way to work and Kurt, Blake and I would have a prayer session at 3am during their break. Cory and I had stopped talking altogether by this point. Further, we couldn't occupy the same area at the same time. If I went into the kitchen area he left and if he came into the back I left. I mentioned this to Kurt. He asked Cory why he stopped talking to me. He motioned at his throat and said it was because of my Cross. One night he came to work with a camera and asked to take my picture for a scrapbook he was working on. I said "No". I turned my back and heard a "click". The next night he came in and was PO like I hadn't seen from him before. He threw the picture at me and demanded to know how I did that. All he had was a picture of the sink! I wasn't even in it. The pictures he took of the other three all turned out fine.
Blake and I were both in Bible College at the time. He talked to one of his professors about the events taking place. He mentioned the details and the professor told Blake to tell me NOT to remove my necklace at any time. Not to shower. Not to sleep. NOT AT ALL. He encouraged our continued prayer meetings at work. He left it at that.
A few days later I was at the back sink doing my work when Cory approached. Something was very different and I stepped away from the sink. He walked right up to me. We were toe to toe and he said,"That puny Cross doesn't scare me. Do you think it can protect you from me"? The voice was very deep and NOT HIS OWN. I stared him down and told him to pull it off my neck. He reached toward me, but couldn't do it. He then said,"Do you know who I am? I am the One Who Cannot Be Named". His eyes blazed for a brief second and then he walked away. I shook for a few minutes. Later I spoke with Blake and Kurt of this.
Cory quit that night.
The next day Blake spoke with the professor again. When I got up he told me what the professor said and I nearly choked. That's when I found out what I was up against. The professor had told him that if I had removed my Cross whether it was at work or not I surely would have been killed where I stood that night.

The last time I told this story some of the people looked the name up. After doing this they started to experience some very weird things. One person had four Bibles in his possession and they all disappeared. One had a Cross in the living room, as some people do, and it "fell off the wall" and landed a few feet away. Others experienced electrical problems. IE: lights going on and off, etc. One person who had used a laptop couldn't use it at home anymore. If they were outside it worked fine, but not inside.
I moved here to pursue a degree in Theology. My passion was to be a Youth Pastor. I have a very strong Faith, I'm not Christian though and that's a topic for another day , and I knew I couldn't move from that house until I knew it was safe to do so. I could live away from it, but I couldn't take my physical items out. It's confusing, but it couldn't be done.
Only twice in my life have I had encounters like this. The only other time was a physical emanation. I'm trying not to say Possession as I'm not certain either way if it was or not.
I can share that story, but ONLY if there's interest. It still amazes me and it's been 11 years.
Before I was married I had been living with a friend. He had a nice little house. He also had a cat. I lived with him for 2.5 years. I always felt kind of funny when I was alone. Like I was being watched, but just put it up to being in a new place. It had a basement the same size as the rest of the house. It was fully finished and we had the TV, VCR and other stuff down there. The basement was always colder than the rest of the house, but since we moved in in January that didn't bother us either. I put plastic over the windows to help cut down the drafts and that sort of worked. Over the next year everything was OK. That feeling of being watched never went away. Near the end of the first year I started having feelings, I can't explain them, whenever I was in the basement. By this time my friend had moved back to Ontario, but I stayed in the house. All of his stuff was still there. I was also dating my wife at the time. The cat was starting to get very upset about being/going into the basement. Her food, water and litter box were all down there. Finally she stopped eating and going to the basement so we moved her stuff upstairs. By now even during summer days the basement was very chilly. We still watched movies and stayed nights there. I started to do my laundry away from the house too. I was working untill midnight or so and I would leave the porch light and kitchen light on so when I came home I could see what I was doing. On more than one occassion the lights were off. I was sure I had put them on, but couldn't remember for sure. On nights I was positive I had left the lights on I went and stayed at my wife's place.
My roommate had a really good surround sound system in place. One of the components was a self powered subwoofer. It had blown the fuse shortly after he left for Ontario. I never bothered replacing, but since this was the second time it had blown the fuse I unplugged the unit. I came home from work one night and could hear a THUMP THUMP THUMP noise emanating from the house. I had left the porch lights on, but they were off. I called the police and they came down right away. I unlocked the house and they entered to search it. When they came out a few minutes later I was advised it was the subwoofer making the noise! I told them that was impossible since the fuse was blown and the unit was unplugged. We went downstairs and I pulled the sofa away from the wall and there was the power cord laying on the floor! Those two officers took off pretty quick! The sub then went quiet.
While I was in my bedroom I never experienced anything. However, any time I was in there I could tell something was watching me. I'd close the door and that was that. Several times before I moved into my wife's place I'd get up in the morning and my door would be open. Apparently It could open the door, but not enter my room. Rarely would this presence be upstairs except in the evening or after the sun had set. Even then it wasn't all the time.
We never saw anything. Sometimes out of the corner of our eyes we might see a dark form, but being in the basement it could have just been the light or a shadow. Nothing malicious ever happened to us. There was definitely something going on there, but we don't know what. I think the lack of personal sightings or escalation was due to the cat. I think that without the cat things would have been a lot different. I don't know how I know this I just do. Just thinking about this brings goose-bumps to my skin.
There was this one place in Spokane called Cyrus O'Leary's. Most amazing ribs I've ever had! It's not a franchise though. Thank goodness otherwise the food and atmosphere would get all buggered up!
