While browsing through the forum and replying to the topic about what games have you spent the most time on, I recalled two games that I spent a lot of time on- Ultima Underworld Stygian Abyss and Underworld 2 Labyrinth of Worlds.

Loved the two of them, but only recently found out, that there was a third one in the pipeline, but due to licensing problems, couldn't label it Ultima Underworld 3.

Anybody ever play all 3 of them, and more importantly, how does Arx Fatalis stack up against its predecessors?

How would you rate all three of them, out of ten?

Very true.

Although, I find myself getting sucked into a tit for tat with 2 guys in the BOTM competition( Messrs Oak and Bow!!)

Would love to bump my way into all time high-scores- at a cursory glance, there is definitely 15 games that I can take the score for, and ,MAYBE 25 - 30.

With a move to Oz coming up within the next few weeks, my free time is curtailed, so it won't be anytime soon.

I don't have the skill to be able to compete for BOTM and all time high score, so if you are like me-an average gamer, I would try to focus on one OR the other.

Amazes me, that for some of the games I play, and spend some time on, Rogbow saunters in and retakes the score, with minimum of fuss and a beast of a score-Sir, I doff my cap to you!!!

My strategy is now going to be, to take a steady aim at some of Rogbows all time high scores, and attempt to do some damage to them. Failing that, at least try to finish above him in some of the games he hasn't placed first in.

AND............. failing that.......... fancy a game of COD4 Mr Bow, at least with that, I KNOW I have more than a fighting chance!!!!

As a sidenote, there are some pretty serious scores on this website, and for a small majority of guys to score that heavily and consistent across a broad range of games-well done.

Toss up between either..............

Goldeneye on the N64, broke my leg in school, so dedicated myself to beating every level on the 00Agent setting, even going so far as to send my times into the N64 Monthly magazine-my best time, on The Facility, was quicker than the best time submitted by Rare, the designers of the game.

OR...........

COD4 on the Xbox. 18 hours straight I played online, only taking breaks when a game ended and was waiting for the next to load. Only bought the Xbox to play COD4, before that, my last console and interest in gaming was with the above mentioned N64. Only quit playing COD4 because of the hacking that goes on.

Spent the past 6 and a half years backpacking, mainly in Africa, but covered most of Europe, lived in Norway for a few years, Sweden etc etc.

I tended to find that most of my stereotypes were blown away, but found quite a few reinforced.

Although being Irish, I would tend to class the majority of Irish, as the most ignorant, backward, homophobic and racist people I have met(outside of any Muslim countries I have visited-before any Irish or any practicing Muslims jump down my throat, I didn't say ALL Irish or ALL Muslims)

It baffles me as to how we have such a 'good' name around the world.

Without a doubt, Scandinavia-their culture, lifestyle, politics, criminal justice etc etc are light years ahead of the rest of us.

For sheer diversity of cultures, hard to beat South Africa. Amazing country, with amazing people. Pity about the crime.

Coming from a Western lifestyle, any of those that like to experience different cultures, it is a toss up between Africa or the Middle East.

But that is just my preference............

First console was the Sega Master System.

Alexx Kidd in Miracle World, Echo the Dolphin, A Kidd in Shinobi world etc etc.

Spent many hours on them.

Anybody else do THAT thing with the controller......when you had to jump, you actually performed the jump, kinda like a precursor to the Wii?

A-HA!!!

In relation to Metal Slug and the score........

I overtook your score this morning-both Monthly and of All Time, and it still hasn't registered.

I can see on my screen, that my highest monthly score recognizes that I did indeed score that, but it still hasn't gotten around to knocking you off your perch.

220 odd thousand it is, just so you know Gary!!
