How to avoid Highscore Problems

From time to time your highscore may have a problem saving. So please be aware up-front that occasionally this may happen to any member. We apologize in advance for any problem you might encounter, however many of these issues are beyond our control.

But, one thing that members can do that will avoid the "There was a problem with this score" message, is discussed below.


One Game at a Time

If you are going for a highscore on a game, then do not start any other games at Arcade Boss while you are in the middle of that game. Believe it or not, this happens more than you might imagine, especially when the game is a longer one. When the games run at the same time, the system can get confused and reject your score. To put it another way, ONE GAME AT A TIME, if you are going for highscores.

Internet Explorer Issue

If you are using Internet Explorer, here is another tip:

Starting with IE7, Internet Explorer has a new security feature which can sometimes prevent your score from being submitted.

If you start a game in one tab, then browse other sites in another tab, this security feature may kick in and prevent your score from being submitted. The fix is to not do any other browsing while you are in the middle of a game. This is especially important on long games, where you might be tempted to do some in-between browsing.

Mochi Score Submit Issues

Some users may have problems submitting their scores on Mochi games. (Mochi games are typically preceded with an in-game ad banner or video.)

You may have this problem if:

- You are asked to enter your name
- You are asked about a Facebook Id
- Your score is submitted at Mochi but not at Arcade Boss.


Possible Solutions

If Javascript is disabled or blocked in your browser, the Mochi score submit won't work. Please enable Javascript.

Some Mac users have found that they are unable to submit scores on Mochi highscore games when using Apple's Safari browser. The work-around for this issue is currently to use a different browser, like FireFox.


Update: We've learned from Mochi that some games from their catalog may experience submit problems due to a bug in Flash. They are unable to correct this issue in existing games, however new games are claimed to be free of this issue.
