WOAH! I knew Star Trek would do well but even I was shocked to see just how well it did do over the weekend! It did better than ANY previous Star Trek film before it even when inflation is taken into consideration!

I think that the new star trek movie is too
violent compared to the older versions. The older versions made respect a virtue . The new one is media made film. Too big a change for even Rodenbury. [/list] |

Roddenberry? Deep Space Nine was already too big of a change for him. He also reportedly disliked ST VI:The Undiscovered Country because it made Starfleet officers participants in a conspiracy to preserve the conflict between the Klingons and the Federation.
I honestly feel that Star Trek movies started having more action in it beginning with Generations onwards; this new Star Trek movie just brought it to a younger generation with a completely new cast. |

| I enjoyed Star Trek from the beginning series, and with a lot of the spinoff and newer movies I just haven't been too interested in, but just saw the new movie and it's the best Trek thing I've seen in a long time. |
