| I'm confused about the 2 highest scores on Super Flash Mario Brothers because there are only 5 levels and the highest score you can get is less than 60,000 but 2 players have over 90,000. I have the 3rd place score with 57,725, i made it through the first 4 levels as fast as you can pretty much go through them then i racked up as many points as i could in the last level. I'm not saying these people cheated, maybe there was some glitch in the game but i just dont see how they can get that high of a score. |

| In Mario you gotta try to jump on one of the turtles heads, and you can do this for about 20,000 points if you do it correctly. [you keep jumping on it head while its by a pipe and it wont disappear] |

There are many more games where you can use codes to start at a higher level, and also games that save your last level so that you can start on the last level you played.
But you don't get more points, because your score always starts at 0 points. So i think its always better to start at level 1 if you want to break a highscore.  |

| I have asked the same question myself. There are some high scores that are just too high and y ou wonder if there are cheats or special scoring opportunities that we know nothing about? |

See that helps right there. My best friend when I was a child had two little brothers that used to skunk us at super mario brothers all the time and show us all the pipes that we could go down and just hit up coins. |

| People seem to love to accuse people of cheating or using cheat codes. While there are some few scandalous people, I think that the majority of the AB players are honest and don't know how to cheat. How do you know in what time frame the high scorers won their games? There is something wrong with people who cheat at video games, just like there is something wrong with people who always accuse winners of cheating when they get beaten. |

I agree.
Starman's hint about Mario (above) gives a fine example. If you don't know of that trick (which I guess you COULD find by accident or by trying absolutely everything - OR perhaps just by word of mouth from someone) then try as you might you won't get past a certain score.
Yet you'll see players still above you, that you can't seem to reach, even though you may be an "expert" player.
Does that mean those above you are cheats ? Easy to assume so - until/unless eventually you DO find out where they've had a (quite "legal") advantage over you.
I'm currently all-time champion of 20 games on here. That leaves about 930* hi score games that I'm NOT champion of! Probably 929 of those are because I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH (a hard realisation for some to swallow ) and possibly in there may be one where I AM good enough, but the guy above me has cheated. Well gee, firstly how could I know WHICH game that might be, and second, does it really REALLY matter to me ?!
