Strange. I can not choose Male (OR Female, for that matter).
My profile settings show empty bullet points for both, while Unspecified appears to be greyed? out.
I CAN indeed choose male, then update. It SAYS my profile has been updated, but in fact it hasn;t, and the male bullet point has gone.
Do I need to check with my doctor first perhaps ?  |

Under your avatar it is showing the male symbol.
Weird that it grays out as unspecified, but it does show your choice.

Thanx IC - indeed I see the symbol here now - but it wan't there before which is why I was trying to add it. Perhaps a short lag in getting that symbol into the forum area ?
No matter - I'm happy now.  |

You have a lot of posts to update with the symbol. Must be why the server is running so hot! LOL!

LATEST INFO:
I've now found that I can go to my Profile and enter Male, then Submit, and indeed the blue symbol will appear under all my posts.
Fine.
BUT - if I then at some later time go to make any OTHER profile change, it will by default REMOVE my gender again!
(When I go into edit profile, even straight after adding the "Male", the Gender there shows blank in Male and Female, but "None Specified" sitting there greyed out, but with a bullet in it.)
Needs a further wee tweak from Mr AB, I reckon. |

Same problem here,
everytime i change something in my profile the gender symbol is gone. |

It's just a fun thing, not a requirement. 
I've made some updates to the code and the system seems to be a bit more gender friendly. Profile now correctly shows selected gender, you can change other profile items without losing the gender setting, and the Unspecified option is no longer disabled. (What was that for anyway?!?!)
I didn't test gender after updating avatar, which could theoretically be a problem, but let me know if you find any more gender in profile issues.
