AB every time I play using Safari in Mochi games, I can´t save my score, is there any particular reason?
In this topic there are pics of this issue with an example

Anybody else that uses Safari has this problem?

Thats odd you shouldnt have any issues since safari uses the same engine as Konqueror's - KHTML. Im able to submit using Konqueror with no issues - Konqueror on linux not pc.
My best guess on the issue their must be a bug in the version of Safari that you are using. Try unistall// Reinstall that should resolve it. If not then try a different browser.
By The Way are you on a pc mac?

| Yes Lonny, I'm on a mac and every time I play I used Firefox (version 3.5.3) and have no problem (only occasionally). The Safari version is 4.0.3 |

Hi Twi$ter,
FWIW I just tried on my PC using Safari (4 Public Beta 528.17) and couldn't find a problem.
Had a quick go at http://www.arcadeboss.com/game-2455-10-The-Mystic-Way.html - at end it brought up Mochi etc and recorded my 240score just as it should.

Hi Eagle_Kiwi, where have you been? Look, your 240 score recorded in the Mochi Best scores, but not in AB Monthly list, that´s the problem with Safari |

Yes, you're right of course - guess I didn't FULLY check EVERYthing!
Ok, well then, I've now tested this on FF, IE, Safari, Chrome, and Opera.
All were perfectly fine - EXCEPT for Safari, which (as u, T, obviously well know) after entering into Mochi DID come back to the AB score page ( http://www.arcadeboss.com/submitted.php?score=90&game=2455 ) but with only | Quote: | You scored 45

instead of my placing for the month etc etc.
Hmmmmm, I guess Safari has something in it that AB - or Mochi!? - doesn't like. I wonder if it's some security setting against "third party" operations of some sort ? (Anyway, MY Safari is pretty much the standard default version - no odd preference settings I'm aware of).
One odd thing I DID spot, is that after Safari's fully loaded the (AB) game page there's then a short pause while the game itself loads to 100% THEN as the first game title screen comes up safari says
"Canceled opening the page" away down in bottom left corner. Huh ? WHAT page ? The game still carries on happily . . . .
I wonder if this useful insight from GaryOak a few weeks back might give any clue | Quote: | I think I also solved the mystery of why I had a bit of trouble submitting scores to that Mochi server sometimes! Safari's not the best, particularly if using it on a laptop.
It's more likely to be that Mochi has something in it that Safari hasn't learnt to render properly yet, and not the other way around.
But thanks for the heads up, we'll have a look.

Hmm, thanks for the notes.
I don't know the exact technical reason for this problem, but basically the javascript isn't running correctly. The ability to submit the Mochi score and have it posted back to AB depends on the javascript working just right.
If it doesn't then we have a score but no authentication for it and you will see what you posted in your screenshots in the other thread.
I think the error message you are seeing before the game starts is very relevant. The browser (or plug-in, or other software) seems to be blocking the needed communications. |

Wow guys, yall sure do know a whole lot about computer programing. I apologize if this isn't relevant but after reading some of this thread I just have to say that I am impressed  . I guess much more goes on at this site than the game playing that most of us like to do. |

Hey, it's not a "Mac" problem, but a "Safari" problem - as shown by your being fine with Mac/Firefox, and my having the error with PC/Safari. |
