How about this for a plan ?
Each month the best "Newbie" (i.e. someone who first joined AB during either that month or the month before) could be chosen, based on their overall contribution to and participation in the AB community.
Perhaps the Top 3 such people could be chosen, with small monetary (oops, IF they have Paypal!) prizes, or even just $10 to the #1.
Choosing could be done directly by AB, or maybe preferably by VOTING, during the first 2 weeks of the following month, by all "advanced" members, i.e. those who first joined more than 2 months ago.
I think this would be a good way to acknowledge those who do make such contributions, and perhaps also offer incentive to newbies to stay around a bit and to "participate".
(Perhaps something similar might be applied to ALL users, not just newbies, as simply "Member of the Month", but I feel the newbie angle might be a better focus to start with, then maybe decide later whether to add the general category too.)
Whaddaya reckon, newbies and others, and of course, Boss. ?

Seems like a good idea,there would probably have to be rules etc put in place to make sure people know what it would take to qualify for winning tho
