Why did you choose to bump a topic that hadn't been posted in in well over a year?
The funniest movie I have watched recently would be The Blind Side. |

I used the search as I always do and seen you made the same choice from what I was going to make.
BS is my all time favorite comedy movie as well. Mel Brooks did such a great job with this film.
Sad that in today's society that film wouldn't hit the screen as people would cry raciest and have the ACLU involved to have it blocked from not being seen.
If you don't get Blazing Saddles you just don't understand
its hilarious, and simply brilliant. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT!

Your right Lonny, Blazzing Saddles is a great comedy and for it's time it was pretty groundbreaking. I also watched Some Like It Hot for the first time a week ago and I actually thought it was really good and pretty funny.
It's harder for me to laugh at older movies like that but some old comedies are funny to me. I don't really have a favorite comedy but 2 of my top favorites are Airplane! and Hot Shots!. I love the screwball comedies. |

It is a 3 way tie
Stripes
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Planes Trains and Automobiles.
All 3 have the best comedians ever.
Stripes - Bill Murry & John Candy
Xmas Vacation - Chevy Chase & Randy Quaid
PTA - John Candy & Steve Martin
You can't get any better. |

Jim Carrey's comedy can get tiring over the years but he is still a genius and Dumb and Dumber is a great comedy movie. Also, Ben Stiller is a great comedy actor. Airplane!, Hot Shots!, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Some Like It Hot, and a couple of Jim Carrey and Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell movies are the best ones.
Jack Black's School of Rock movie is great too. To me the real GENIUSES of comedy are Trey Parker and Matt Stone who created South Park. Those guys know what is funny!!!!! |
