| Is it real or is it a myth? What is causing it? Who is responsible? What can be done about it? Why is it happening now? Is it as big a deal as we're making it seem? What do you think? Discuss the issue here. |

Global warming is happening. However, it's not BECAUSE of humankind. It's part of the Earth's climate cycle. The Earth cycles by heating up and then it will cool down thus beginning another Ice Age. That's it. That's all. I hate it when "environmentalists" fear-monger that humankind is the cause. After they have their rallies you see them driving around in their SUV's and other non-hybrid cars.
The only good thing that's come out of this is the advent of non fossil fuel cars, alternate energy homes(solar, geo-thermal heating, self composting, etc). These items and ways of life will take the neccessity of oil from us and will reduce the impact the Middle Eastern oil producing countries have over us.

Nice to see someone with the same views on this subject. The fear mongering so true. The US are the ones that always seen to push this and master minds behind it "i think". We had knowledge of this Eco-Technology for ages. Kinda funny their pushing Eco this Eco that now should of done it all along. |

what were having another ice age. any ways i dont hink global warming is that big of a deal. its helping by people that think golbal warming is very bad buy hybrids use solar panels so we are still helping the enviornment  |

| Well of course Global Warming is real, look at how many natural disasters have happened over the last 10 years, and it's getting worse, 2 bad earthquakes in 2 months????? That is scary!! There WILL be another natural disaster before summer gets here you can count on that. |

Meh it is real I think, otherwise people would have hushed it as it would have been not a big deal.
Though I didn't what you said ICBM, just cause I never looked too much into it. In the USA they make a much bigger deal out of it than in Israel (not that here people don't care). At least it made people to at least start taking care of the environment a little better. |

Regardless of whether it's true or not - if we don't want to get rid of petrol and factory fumes, and use cleaner energies - then we're insane - simply because we should love our world the way it was created.

Global warming is just Al Gore's way of saying, "Make me president"; or Toyota's way of saying "Go out and buy a Prius". There really isn't anything we can do about it without changing our lifestyles completely, and I for one am not up for changing my lifestyle any time soon, so let's just let the democrats handle it.

| Actually global warming is not real... i learned recently in school that the earth is currently going thru a cooling period and the temperatures of earth have DECREASED over the past years rather than increases. There is a good chance a this is a scam by the government. |

| I don't know if anyone can say for sure whether it's real or not (although personally I'm leaning more towards "not") However, I do think it's good that it's made us more aware of how much we're wasting and has encouraged people to recycle, use less water etc. |

The Democrats can't even agree on healthcare for your country. I doubt they'd be able to figure out what to do about "global warming".

I agree, democrats aren't the brightest people in the world, but if they can invent something, they can surely solve it. That goes for everyone, not just for democrats.

If they're "not the brightest people in the world" then how can they solve it?
Further to the points mentioned above they still haven't figured out an exit strategy for Iraq yet and it's been 10 years. IF global warming was real and was a very real threat then the world would be screwed with them leading the charge to change anything in the States.
The only good that's come out of this fear mongering is the way people are recycling and becoming more conscious of the environment and humankind's impact on it.
