good topic!
i agree with you on monopoly although i think risk is the best game out there
its unknown yet amazing! ever play? highly highly highly addictive. just takes 10-20mins to start up...
chess is number3 after monopoly and risk

| My favorite board game has to be Backgammon. I like it where you roll the dice and you move your piece. And of course, I'll have to go with Monopoly as well. I used to have the board game of Monopoly, but I lost it. Those games are good. |

Mine is definetly Chess! nothing beats a good battle but its not for everyone.
My uncle was a National champ so i leared alot from him.
But if it was just a social kid's game then Monopoly, thats addictive. |

Hey Joker420 + anyone else who like's Monopoly, Have you guy's played the card version?
We bought it last year, havent played in awhile but when we bought it we were quite addicted.
Basically just a card version, pretty simple to play it's called
Monopoly Deal
I wont go to into the game but it's pretty cheap to buy, if you get the chance to buy it you should  |

Yeah, I've seen a monopoly card version - actually I think I've got one in my "games bag" - hang on a minute...
...ah yes, mine's just called "Monopoly The Card Game" by 'Top Cards'. 2-6 players ages 8+.
Never tried it, just sits in my games bag with a load of other stuff that I keep for laughs.
Interesting though...

Can i ask how old is that version Sime? Have you had it for a long time?
The one we bought last year was a new release at that time.
We have a game's shelve, we also have one of the newer version's of Monopoly.
Both the Monopoly + Monopoly Deal are from Parker Brother's.
Yes this version is 8+ but is for 2-5 player's.
That's weird i alway's thought just parker made Monopoly game's?
Do you know Sime, Did Parker give the right's to Top Card's?

I have to go with chess on this one. Most other board games are luck-based, but chess is almost purely about skill.
(the luck has more to do with what your opponent does)
