2010's July 4th weekend beats last year's box office gross!

It looks like The Twilight Saga:Eclipse will add an estimated $69 million to its already impressive gross.

Eclipse has a solid estimated box office gross of $161 million although it does fall short of last year's New Moon which earned $165 million in its first 5 days. Yes, 65% of Eclipse's audience was indeed female BUT 55% were 21 and older! In contrast, 80% of New Moon's first weekend audience were female and only half were over 21 years of age! It should be noted that Eclipse also did well internationally with over $100 million in 42 territories.

Fans of Shyamalan must be pleasantly surprised to learn that The Last Airbender is actually holding its own against the latest Twilight film at the box office! It earned an estimated $40.6 million this weekend. The overwhelmingly negative reviews of the film certainly haven't hurt the movie's box office gross so far!

All I know is that, that twilight chick is fine....I would sink my teeth into that! (lame, i sincerely apologize) and I could crush that Taylor Lautenar dude like a skinny twig

twilight was expected to do great...surprised about all the people over 21

i think what is even more surprising is that with everyone seeing twilight movie, the last airbender did pretty well....not sure if its more m night fans or if the cartoon had any kind of fan base

Avatar looked good but I really was annoyed by the cartoon and am not a big Twilight fan either. Why are ppl so crazy over that series?
