Tweet?

I've always hated social networking sites, what with all the apps, photos, boxes, walls, gimmicks, notifications, requests, emails, blah, blah blah.

Last thing I thought I'd do was tweet.

Then realised that Twitter actually is the only social networking site I'd be interested in. I realised that all I actually want to do is say something interesting now and then to an audience, whether they be semi captive or devout.

I often think of stuff I'd say during the day, but because I live on my own, never have the chance to really say it at the moment - but now I can just pick up my phone and text a tweet to my "followers" as they're called.

So, although I absolutely hate all this social networking hype, Twitter, as a little simple functionality that it is, satisfies my needs.

Just pick a name and start tweeting 140ch long messages whenever you feel some inspiration! There's none of all this other additional rubbish the other sites have - just a username and your tweets. Simple - job done.

Facebook is way better imo. All twitter is, is a status. Facebook you can write your status and do a whole bunch more.

I never looked at it that way Sime that makes sense. I have used twitter before to follow celebrities or like a sports player or something like that.

Twitter is better than Facebook. Too much junk gets added on FB. Twitter doesn't look so bad. In fact, I'm kind of enjoying it.

It's a nice tool... think about it, if you have 500,000 followers "their are some" and you tweet about a product or some useful stuff, all your followers will have the opportunity to read your message, i'm sure that'll be worth something.

Besides twitter is NOT like facebook or myspace, twitter would compared to a enhanced sms.

You would have to be to think its for for contacting and socializing like face book. Come on who really want tweets from lance armstrong? Britney Spears? gaga I have a better tuned in life. Not that crazy about reading one line snippets from their lives. Unless its business related.

twitter is really onnly good for celebs. lets their fans follow them and see what they are up to. if my friends want to know about me, call me, text me, they know how to reach. anything i would post on my twitter, my friends would hear from me anyway
