AVG or Avast (If it's still free) are good.

I also recomend AVG.
If you type AVG Free into google search it will bring you the link.
Ive used it before and found it great, but now i use McAfee ( which isnt free).

Good luck with those viruses, hope they are not heavy virsues like trojan's, can be hard to get those off.
It's best to have a Anti-Virus program running all the time on your comp,
But i guess you know this now

yes it will. whats cool about panda cloud is you never see a warning letting you know you hit a virus and its the most memory friendly "wont bog your pc down" software for virus protection i ever used nothing like all the rest.
i tend to forget its even their.

linux i dont have to worry on viruses but linux isn't windows and that a different story for a different time and thread.

BTW if you do download it make sure to scan all my computer that goes with any virus program.

I haven't actively used an AV program for several years. I'll download and scan my laptop from time to time, but I don't have AV running in the background. I don't open attachments from unknown people and I don't open attachments unless the sender verifies they sent me something. Worked well for me so far. Wink

Malware isn't a virus. Download Malware Bytes. It's free and it will take care of the problem.

Although It may just be malware right now, I think you should always have a program ready, so you can easily lose the virus. I suggest you either use a free one that was mentioned here, or buy mccaffe (what I use) which has kept my computers protected for nearly 3 years now.
