I love to go to best buy, I usually go once a week and pick up at least one movie or CD. .
But i seem to not be able to find anything good lately or i look at a CD and i just dont know enough about it to take the plunge and buy it.
So what type of recommendations do you have for me?
Is there any movie old or new that i just have to buy? I love all genres when it comes to movies. I like Drama, action, comedy and Horror as long as the horror isnt cheesy!
And as far as CD's I love rock, but not the screaming crap. I enjoy smooth jazz, light rock, classical, christian rock, pretty much anything but country and rap. Im not hating on it i just cant get into it.
I appreciate anything you guys can recommend, If you bought something and you loved it, let me know!
Thanks
SmokeyQ
PS: I am planning on buying quite a few DVD's and CD's I have a surgery coming up and need lots of new entertainment while i recover
i tend to stay american horrors they dont cut it for me. Asian Horrors is were it at. Silk would be a great start. The down side its English sub titles the plus side these movies will keep you entertained you wont have time to read.
the other type of movies you like i cant tell you.
i dont have any suggestions on cd's, but lately, instead of movies, ive been buying different tv series on dvd...i have the full series of tons of shows now...lost, prison break, rescue me, the shield, always sunny in philadelphia, burn notice, heroes, my name is earl, nip/tuck...i like buying the tv series much better than a single movie
The Eagles are pretty well known around the world in rock music so you might already know them but they have some nice relaxing great rock songs. Their best songs are a bit spread out through their career so I would just get one of their greatest hits albums. The one from 2001 has the best songs on it.
i name is earl is one of my favorites of all time...i love it...and if you like my name is earl, check out Raising Hope....its on tuesday nights on fox...its very similar...there have even been a bunch of the my name is earl people in this show....crabman was on a couple of weeks ago as an exterminator, and jasper, the one who ran the pawn shop out of the storage unit was a cop this past tuesday
Best Buy is crap just talking to any one of the workers and you will know. I went in to one a few months back for price check on a power supply.
2 guys were at the help desk asked me what I needed, I told them I need a name brand PSU 750-1000+ watts.
one tells me WHOA that's allot of power what you going to do with that much power "Run a Pirated" website.
What a PSU got to do with a pirated site.
I just looked at him and walked out.
Thought the customer service at FRYS was bad.

Yeeeah. I know some people who work at Best Buy...
First off, I bought their computer deal. 1 Desk, 1 Lap, and one Notebook. They hooked it all up as part of the deal, but it took over a month. We asked them (and paid for) security systems/antivirus etc to avoid having to buy a new computer (which is why we were buying a new one to begin with)
They installed all this stuff including Norton. Months later, the laptop was already acting up. They charged full ''Geek Squad'' price for the fix. They claimed an entire new hard drive was needed. wth? Sooo... They set it up with their recommended security and all, and it's already shot? (btw I steer away from pirate sites, downloads, porn, etc)
Anyways... When I got the laptop back. The battery can't hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. I believe they swapped the battery out, so we would come back.
I talked with a friend('s husband) who happens to be a Supervising Manager of the Geek Squad. He lauged and said ''what did you expect? it's geek squad!''
He told me how to get the issue solved. But it's sad to know that even the supervising managers find this laughable and dismissible, as if it happens all the time.
On another occasion. I purchased an external hard drive for pictures, videos, etc to keep my computer space free... I opened it about 3 months later when it was finally needed. It looked as if it had been dropped or thrown. The ''DC in'' and USB port are off centered from the shell. Basically, I cannot plug it in and use it. Since it had been so long, they refused a refund/exchange. They assume I broke it.
I could go on and on. Sadly, I've had similar experiences with office max/office depot. So it seems we're doomed to poor customer service, despite the fact that what we're buying costs 100's if not 1000's of dollars. My advice. Open and check your merchandise THERE in front of customer care.
Sadly, the crew that is helping us is not always qualified to do so. They hire people with no experience when they're in a pinch.
And that's what we're left with. People who are on a quota of what they need to sell, and their jobs depend on it.
Wow, those are some bad experiences. Geek Squad...
Worse I had was a cocky repair guy complaining about the last guy who opened my laptop and made a mess. I only later learned that he himself was the last to open it, and in fact repaired the power supply that later broke down.
