|
|
Thor certainly showed the competition who is the god of thunder bringing thunder in the form of $66 million domestically and a whopping $176 million internationally at the box office this weekend!
Last week's Fast Five simply wasn't fast enough for audiences as Thor stole much of its thunder making it drop 62% this weekend. It's anyone's guess which film beat out which among the 2 new romantic films opening this weekend in the form of Jumping the Broom and Something Borrowed.
It makes you wonder which film jumped which and which film borrowed from which, doesn't it?
Please do excuse the puns as I'm having trouble avoiding them while typing this message at lightning fast speeds!
The chart as usual can be found at:

What did you think of any of this weekend's new movies? What did you think of Thor's performance in its opening weekend? |

I'm also not surprised Thor was number one this weekend. Marvel movies normally are. I saw it and thought it could have been a lot better. |

Bridesmaids? If anything, Jumping the Broom and Something Borrowed proved that there is a limited audience right now for romantic comedies. Why would Bridesmaids do better than either of those 2 romantic comedies? |

say hello to your first -1 not so much for using the term gay using it in a way that has nothing to do with the movie.
im not surprised that Thor hit 1# it looks awesome.
Speaking about fast five wasn't that Asian killed in Tokyo drift when his car rolled?
Why would they bring him back thats lame,
That would be like killing me off in a Friday The 13th movie only to bring my character back in a movie called Jason's revenge the 13th chapter.
Adding the originally actors kind of killed it for me.
Id just wait till it hit netflix to see it.
Thor was something I liked as a kid so I can see those my age would want to see it. Its a hit with kids and drown ups.
Also wasnt fast five mostly a 25 year old crowded?
Think thats what I heard my local news say over the weekend. _________________ Don't Google it, Just Bing IT!

It wouldn't surprise me if the Fast Five audience is mostly 20's to teens age range because you know how young people like to drive fast and calm down when they get older.
I enjoy the Fast and Furious franchise. I don't pay much attention to details and look for flaws because to me these kind of movies are just fun to watch. As long as the acting and action is good and there's some hot chicks in there somewhere then it's all good for me. My main reason to see Fast Five is to see Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in the same movie.
Fast Five got a 78 % rating at rottentomatoes.com which means the critics approve of it...127 good reviews and 35 bad reviews.
Thor got the same rating with 164 good reviews and 46 bad reviews. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/groups/moviesnshows/?ref=bookmarks |
