There is a number of possible reasons for why she ended the show. Some say she did it so that she could concentrate on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network. Another person said she wanted to end it after the 20th year but she continued for another 5 years for a boy who was ill!

She's filthy rich and will have more money and a better life than I will ever have so I can care less about what happens to her or her show.
