Just noticed this story so I thought i would share, although as the report states just 9 hours after the peace talks the Taliban 'claimed' to have been responsible for another bombing....

| the reality is we all know that no one should be fighting a war that is un winnable,the russians learnt that30 years ago when they tried it and further back vietnam korea....the list goes on....the forces could be there another 10 years with or without negotiations with the very people that they are there for in the first place and still the end result is likely to be the same......one thing is surer than anything else...the public will never know the true outcome all that seems to achieved in conflict such as this one is destruction...something that has been happening on this earth for thousands of years. |

the only way this could be real is if the taliban is feeling the pressure of their leaders getting whacked, and they themselves would rather live they keep this stuff up....i wouldnt trust one of these guys as far as i could throw them...if they want peace, then they should turn over the names of evry one of their members that has been involved in a terrorist act

I say the US should just go into Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and carpet bomb the mountains where the Taliban is hiding! Use nukes if need be! This BS of playing hide and seek with them is old and tired! It's time the States and the rest of the World take this crap seriously!

I 100% Agree. Nuke em' so we don't have to deal with them anymore. It clearly worked against the japs. |

Just like we had USSR for the cold war if the Taliban was destroyed
how then would the DOD justify their budget to the congress?

That is open to interpretation as some say the Soviet Union entering the war against the Japanese may have led to the surrender. |

Our government has not offered ANY confirmation of Karzai's statement at this point in time.
Can you/do you have any updates on this?
Also since Reagan created Taliban and helped the rise of Osama who would we really talk to?
This is one of many reasons why I dont take news sources like these to serious.
