I will never complain about the weather I get where I live because when you hear about these natural disasters it really puts my little cold snap or rain storm into perspective.

Thank you Kiwi, Bomber and Master of Puppets 
We had several decent shakes over the night too so it was a hard night with our three kids.
Hopefully they settle a bit today, tomorrows Xmas 
Yes kiwi, we have about 80k damage to our house, well the house we rent.
We found out about a month ago the owners want us out in about 5 weeks for repairs.
We have to vacate the house for 8 weeks, maybe more 
Finding a new house to rent is so hard at the moment because of all the red zoned houses from the quakes and families having to move.
Very proud of our kids, they handled yesterday very well considering.
Lots more broken things to throw out now too

I had planned on doing the rest of Xmas shopping yesterday, but everything got closed due to the earthquakes, a few of the malls are open today
Crazy busy, ques to the checkouts were insane.
Luckily we did our big food shop about 4 days back so I could go through the express checkout as we only needed about 10 items.
Had to go to a few shops in the mall for more presents for our kids, so glad to be out of there.
Got home, had lunch, and my partner and myself got the house in immaculate condition for Xmas day tomorrow, and I got the yard all neat and tidy a few days back, grass isn't growing much, to hot 
Now we can relax
