Heh guys, I've just started a 4 hour endurance race around Nurburgring-Nordschleife on GT4. I'm an hour in and have almost 2 minutes breathing space beween me and 2nd position - I'm in poll.
I'm using the Cadillac Cien, tweaked to my individual taste obviously. Although a concept car, it was actually made and tested, 950bhp and handles like nothing else.
Anyway, must have some dinner, then get back to my race... I think I can pull this off.
If I win it is 200,000 credit reward and I expect a prize car of some fabulous kind.
Wow! 200,000 credits! That would make you only second in number of credits to WW!
You do realise I mean GT credits/currency...?
Cheers, it's gonna be tough to keep my eyes open - but it is my all time favourite track and seldom becomes boring, even over and over again for several hours. _________________
i got excited for a second when i saw garys post...i thought we might have gotten gran turismo here...gran turismo is one of my all time favorite games _________________

I can remember this track being on the original XBOX game Forza Motorsports. It is an awesome track. Gotta give it up for the Germans. They can build automobiles and automobile race tracks. Gut gemacht!
Cheers 'raffa. I could drive that track all day - in fact I just did. Lol. Seriously I like this track so much that the night before last I decided to count every single turn out loud and every time I counted a turn I put 'fantastic' before the number.
There are officially 73 bends, but if you count every little 'turn', ie not a straight, there are very close to 100.
But I much prefer my tuned-up 680bhp Corvette Stingray 68 - might be slower but it's a beautiful beast to roll. _________________
The 2012 Corvette ZR1 looks like a beast - would there be any other 'special reward' for completing that challenge again but this time use the car (Chaparral 2D Race Car '67) you won for completing your marathon the first time? _________________ 26 Time Boss of the Month
Hmm. Possibly. I know that you can clear the stats for the special condition races, enabling you to resubmit a poll position and win the same car over and over again. (Hence I have several million Cr.)
But I wouldn't re-do it in that car anyway. The next Nurburgring endurance will be the 24hr race - that means pausing and leaving the disc spinning for one whole week. Not keen on the idea - but the credit reward for that is 1,200,000 Cr.
I expect a very expensive prize car for the 24hr endurance. So I will let you know when I think I can start. _________________
That would be an epic race! - I remember vaguely on GT 1 or 2 there were a couple of races you could complete with the car you won doing it the first time and you won a rare concept car....1.2 M cr? worth doing as a one off, bet your loving your collection of 'won' cars so you should get a gem if you win that race!
Thanks for the link neeraffa. I don't like cheats, but loopholes are groovy - at least I can get a target now to unlock some stuff.
I spent last night buying and testing cars, even bought a Lotus Esprit ... BUT... after all those cars, and ones I've tried before... I still prefer my Stingray.
I've tried sooo many cars... even TVR Cerebra Speed 12 - but nothing can give as much pleasure in the corners. _________________
